Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for and must create a culture of success, integrity, and ongoing sales goal achievement. The vision for this position is to become known as an employer of choice and is made of a sales force that top sales talent wants to join. This role is responsible for overall sales department targets, sales KPI achievement, overseeing the results, and ensuring individual and team execution. In addition, this high integrity leader must demonstrate our company core values, they are; Integrity, Teamwork & Partnership, and Customer Satisfaction.

This is a player/coach role. The long-term goal of this position is that the team grows, and this individual moves into a true management position to oversee the sales team and be a dedicated leader and resource.

Status: Full Time, Exempt
Pay: Base plus commission and bonus

*currently remote as during COVID-19, all staff is working from home, with the option to work in the office. Should an employee want to go into the office from time to time, there is a detailed protocol to follow in place.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business to Business (B2B) sales environment.
  • 5+ years using LinkedIn and/or Sales Navigator and an existing strong presence on the LinkedIn network and a very large contact center executive network of connections and contacts (Preferably 10K+)
  • 5+ years of successful sales leadership experience, overseeing a team of at least 5 employees.
  • 5+ years of experience in the BPO or call center outsourcing industry.
  • 5+ years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Responsibilities

40% Team Management and Sales Team Leadership:

  • Manage the Inside and Outsides Sales Team staff, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth.
  • Recruit, hire, train, complete reviews, and develop the sales team.
  • Meet with the team and provide direction in group and 1:1 settings.
  • Oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their targets.
  • Improve and implement a sales training program with best practices and sales 101 coaching.
  • Identify department improvements.
  • Develop success-driven plans.
  • Monitor customer activity and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with partners to foster business growth and development.
  • Provide a sales-focused strategy and feedback to the CEO and executive leaders.
  • Manage detailed sales expectations and plan accordingly to develop strategies for business development and achieving company sales and pipeline goals.
  • Set specific team and individual quarterly and annual KPIs and goals.

40% Sales:

  • Communicate and foster relationships with prospective clients.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for focusing on sales revenue and building a personal pipeline through referrals, digital leads, and ideal prospect outreach.
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.

20% Miscellaneous:

  • Travel to attend relevant conferences, meetings, and industry events, as needed.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to establish successful support, channel, and partner programs.
  • Monitor market activity.
  • Assist in testing new enhancements in CRM to ensure they meet department requirements.
  • Communicate department growth needs and proactively initiate the next steps.
  • Learn, follow, and monitor current processes to carry out responsibilities and also provide recommendations for improvements based on industry experience and client feedback.
  • Contribute to department job and process documentation and continue to refine.

Sales and Administrative Experience:

  • 5+ years of Business to Business (B2B) sales environment.
  • 5+ years using LinkedIn and/or Sales Navigator and an existing strong presence on the LinkedIn network and a very large contact center executive network of connections and contacts (Preferably 10K+).5+ years of successful sales leadership experience, overseeing a team of at least 5 employees.
  • 5+ years of experience in the BPO or call center outsourcing industry.
  • Collegiate level skill set in proofreading, spelling, grammar, and overall proficiency in business professional listening, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, prioritize, be independent, manage time effectively, and be a self-starter.
  • Proven experience and a successful track record in prospecting and strong new business/sales development experience with the ability to maintain client accounts.

Technical Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as Zoho or Salesforce.
  • Familiarity using Mac OS platforms and/or PC proficient.
  • Demonstrated experience with high efficiency and accuracy of typing and word processing.
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, and Calendar experience.
  • Experience with telephone systems and conference calling.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (business management, sales and marketing management, and communications related degrees preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, sitting, and walking. A moderate level of bending and lifting may be required up to 25 pounds.
