Outsource Consultants is a call center referral and advisory firm that helps leading companies find the perfect fit outsource call center and BPO outsourcing solutions.

Candidate does not need previous call center experience, but it is preferred. The Outsource Consultants Process (OCP) is defined and our team is in need of an enthusiastic, goal driven SDR to contribute to our company’s fast growth!

Position Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Department: Outsource Consultants – Sales
Reports to: EVP of Sales
Location: St. Louis Park, MN (hybrid in office/remote)
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Pay: Base plus bonus and commissions

Position Overview: The sales development representatives-SDR role at OC is an integral part of our sales process and is instrumental to ensuring the OC team delivers on its profitable revenue growth goals.  The primary responsibility of the individual joining our team in this capacity will be the execution of our processes related to managing and qualifying leads at the initial stage of the sales funnel.  You will be responsible for researching potential clients, connecting with and educating prospects utilizing multiple types of communication platforms in your efforts to qualify leads in support of building a robust opportunity pipeline for the OC sales team.

SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (SDR) RESPONSIBILITIES

95% SALES DEVELOPMENT:

  • Owns and proactively drives improvement of the sales lead generation/management process to ensure optimization including definition, standardization and simplification of workflows and procedures.
  • Collaborates closely with OC team members to support the sales enablement strategy recommending improvements to the lead generation process and the tools needed to enable consistent execution and drive results.
  • Strives to automate and make the lead generating/management process more efficient and effective by collaborating with necessary stakeholders to clearly define and articulate business needs/requirements and supports the implementation of world class tools to position the sales team to achieve greater success.
  • Develops the necessary skill sets and a deep understanding of lead generation such that they are respected by the sales team and others as the subject matter expert and effectively collaborates with cross-functional business partners (e.g., Marketing, Sales Operations etc.) to achieve superior results.
  • Establishes and maintains productive relationships with key business leaders both internally and externally in an effort to understand the business environment, trends, and strategies/methodologies for improving the flow of leads and building the qualified lead/prospect pipeline.
  • The intellectual aptitude to quickly understand the OC service offering with the ability to articulate OC Value Proposition (Solutions) and process to prospects in a matter of weeks and the intellectual curiosity to keep learning the intricacies of the OC offering for years to come in an effort to advance your career towards a promotion to individual contributor (sales representative) role.
  • Become a subject matter expert on all OC service offerings and applications with the ability to communicate how OC solutions will solve the prospects problem(s) in an effort to get the sales process underway.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how to connect, communicate and gain interest with prospects via written and oral communication (email, LinkedIn, phone outreach etc.)
  • Ability to conduct discovery conversations over the phone gathering the information needed to pursue the prospect in an effort to gain access and create opportunities for the sales team including: key players names, titles, contact information, needs, business requirements and other critical qualifying information.
  • Ability to work with and through sales team members to manage and execute a lead qualification campaign from inception to fully qualified opportunity/meeting secured for seller.
  • Can respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries utilizing OC proprietary prospect qualifying process ensuring an understanding of the prospects budget, authority, need and timing among other key qualifying pieces of information.
  • Secures and sets appointments for the sales team.
  • Has the ability to consistently maintain a high level of daily activity in line with established goals. This role will require a level of outreach activity in the range of 75-100 per day.
  • Ensures successful and consistent follow through as part of the overall sales process, meeting and exceeding lead generating activity levels to ensure lead qualification information is gathered, leads are qualified and a pipeline of qualified leads are maintained in line with goals.
  • Fearlessness…willing to hop on the phone with new people every single day and explain the OC value prop, answer questions, ask qualifying questions etc.
  • Ability to work in a CRM environment with a high level of accuracy when capturing critical information e.g., contacts information etc.
  • Collaborate with other departments in support of lead generation activities and results.

5% Miscellaneous:

  • Test new enhancements in CRM to ensure they meet department and process requirements.
  • Communicate department growth needs and proactively initiate next steps.
  • Learn, follow, and monitor current processes to carry out responsibilities and also provide recommendations for improvements based on industry experience and client feedback.
  • Contribute to department job and process documentation and continue to refine.
  • Scan, send, and file documents as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office and working space.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Sales and Administrative Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales (Hunting) and/or service with a B2B services company.
  • Collegiate level skill set in proofreading, spelling, grammar and overall proficiency in business professional listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to remain organized and handle multiple tasks and projects, prioritize, be independent, manage time effectively, high attention to detail, and be a self-starter.

Technical Experience (Equipment and Tools Used):

  • Familiarity using Mac OS platforms and Internet/PC proficient.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based software, CRM systems such as Zoho or Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated experience with high efficiency and accuracy of typing and word processing.
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, and Calendar experience.
  • Experience with telephone systems and conference calling.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the BPO, Contact Center or Contact Center Technology industry, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Standing, sitting and walking.
  • A moderate level of bending and lifting may be required up to 25 pounds.
